Citizenship Charter
Under the responsibility assigned by the Government to the Bangladesh Water Development Board, the Narsingdi Water Division is responsible for the planning, implementation and post-implementation maintenance of the following works:-

a) Planning and implementation of flood control projects in areas under the jurisdiction of the departmental office and post-implementation maintenance.

b) Planning and implementation of water drainage projects in the area under the jurisdiction of the departmental office and post-implementation maintenance.
c) Plan formulation and implementation and post-implementation maintenance for the purpose of increasing irrigation facilities together in the areas under the jurisdiction of the departmental office.

d) Development and implementation of bank conservation work plans and post-implementation maintenance to protect villages, towns, ports and nationally important structures from river erosion in the area under the jurisdiction of the divisional office.
e) Planning and implementation and post-implementation maintenance of river excavation/dredging activities to protect the navigability of rivers in the area under the jurisdiction of the Divisional Office.
